What's new in taluvu.
Updated 23 October 2026
This page lists what has changed, when, and which version it is in. Updates reach the iPhone app through the App Store, usually on their own; the web edition at app.taluvu.co.uk updates itself the next time it is opened.
Nothing here is a promise about your health. taluvu keeps your record and helps you describe it; it does not measure, diagnose or treat anything.

Compare your symptoms on one chart
Built 22 October 2026
The symptom chart has been redesigned so it reads at a glance. Choose up to three of the symptoms you track, and Stress once you have rated it, and see them together on one chart, each in its own colour. A day you did not record stays a gap, bridged by a dotted line and never filled in for you.
- Tap any point to read the symptom, the date and the rating you gave.
- Tap the chart to see it landscape, where every day is dated with its own line and you can slide across the dates.
- Switch between 7 days, 30 days or a whole month, and step back through earlier months.
- On the longer views the dates sit on the 1st of the month and every seven days after it, so a week is easy to find.
Two lines rising together is worth noticing, not proof that one caused the other. taluvu shows what you recorded; it does not interpret it.

The calendar opens on this month
Built 21 October 2026
A swipe could page the calendar to an earlier month and leave it there, so your recent days looked as if they had gone. The calendar now opens on this month whenever you arrive, and if you have swiped back it shows a button to return. Nothing was ever lost; the days were on the month the calendar had moved to.

Remove a condition from its own page
Built 21 October 2026
Open a condition under Me, Conditions, and you can remove it from your list. taluvu asks first, and only the name leaves the list: nothing you have recorded is deleted.

A question about helping to improve taluvu
Built 21 October 2026
After you accept the terms, taluvu asks once whether it may count how the app is used, such as which screens are opened. It never sends what you write or record. Yes and No are given equal weight, No sends nothing, and you can change your mind in Me.

Smaller fixes
21 and 22 October 2026
- Restoring a backup is safer: a file that is not a taluvu backup, or has been tampered with, is refused before anything changes.
- A custom symptom you have un-ticked no longer appears on the chart or in the counts.
- The progress bars in the check-in no longer run off the edge of the screen.

A voice diary for voice conditions
Built 16 October 2026
If you add a voice condition in Conditions, such as spasmodic dysphonia, adductor or abductor dysphonia, muscle tension dysphonia, vocal tremor or vocal cord paralysis, the Journal gains a short voice diary. It only appears for voice conditions; for everyone else the app is unchanged.
- Each day, rate how speaking went on a five-level scale, with two optional taps for breathiness and effort.
- Keep a short recording of your own voice with the entry, up to ten seconds, stored on your phone with the rest of your journal.
- Note the day you had an injection or a procedure, and what you were told was given, in your own words in a plain text box.
- Your Doctor Summary shows the days after each injection lined up, one simple line per injection, so you and your clinic can see your own daily ratings side by side. You can hide the whole section from the summary with one tap.
- These are your own daily ratings. taluvu does not measure your voice and does not show whether a treatment worked. Asha is not given your recordings or ratings.
If you have new trouble swallowing or breathing, contact your clinic or NHS 111. In an emergency, call 999.

Stress right now
Built 15 October 2026
The daily check-in now has a five-level stress check beside how the day felt and how much energy you have. It takes one tap, it is optional, and a hard week shows up in your record and in your Doctor Summary without you having to find the words for it.

Ready for iPhone Duo
Built 15 October 2026
taluvu is laid out for the iPhone Duo, so the Today screen, your Health Story and the Doctor Summary use the open screen properly rather than stretching a phone layout across it. On every other iPhone nothing changes.

Smaller fixes
15 and 16 October 2026
- The crisis and helpline links are bigger and easier to tap.
- The date labels on the Symptom Patterns chart no longer overlap on the 30 and 60 day views.
- The level labels in the check-in fit on every text size.

Four voice conditions on this site
16 October 2026
New pages, each with a printable weekly symptom diary, for spasmodic dysphonia, muscle tension dysphonia, vocal tremor and vocal cord paralysis. The app has understood all of them, and adductor, abductor and mixed dysphonia, since launch; the pages were written for the Dysphonia International UK community, where taluvu's founder is speaking in November.

Condition pages open the web edition with your condition chosen
13 October 2026
The web edition link on each condition page hands the condition to the web edition, so a new setup starts with the right symptom palette already there. Nothing else travels with it.
